The grants provide funding up to $10,000 for nonprofit companies interested in pursuing activities that assist diverse consumers and neighborhoods conserve energy or use clean, sustainable energy.
The grant offer was developed as a brand-new method for Energy Trust to engage with community organizations to reach and serve varied clients. By supplying little grants to not-for-profit organizations, Energy Trust will extend the advantages of energy effectiveness and tidy, renewable resource to more consumers.
Through the initial round of moneying $125,000 in grants will be granted. Extra funding chances are anticipated to be announced in 2022.
Examples of grant funding requests may include, however are not restricted to:
Activities to increase neighborhood and consumer awareness of tidy energy services and offers– such as events or marketing materials
Activities to stimulate customer involvement in Energy Trusts energy performance and renewable resource deals– such as funding to supplement an existing program or program in advancement
Assistance for organizations requiring extra capacity to link clients to clean energy options and offers– such as personnel time, training costs, costs for a grant writer, specialist, intern
Organizations eligible for the 2021 Working Together Grants need to fulfill the following criteria:
Registered as a not-for-profit entity in Oregon or Washington
Proposed activities moneyed through the grant remain in Energy Trust service location and straight or indirectly advantage utility clients of Portland General Electric, Pacific Power, NW Natural, Cascade Natural Gas or Avista
Proposed activities funded through the grant advantage top priority diversity, inclusion and equity audiences in Energy Trust focus areas: neighborhoods of color, consumers with rural neighborhoods or low earnings.
