While an AirTag can be utilized to track an animal, Apple VP of worldwide iPhone product marketing, Kaiann Drance, has advised users that the AirTag was built to find inanimate items and not kids or animals. When asked about this, Drance said, “If individuals do that, they just have to ensure that their moving animal enters range of a device in the Find My network” so its area can be tracked.
