Microsoft Teams for macOS will soon adds support for automatic meeting recording

As first spotted by Windows Latest, Microsoft Teams will soon receive a top-requested function that, for no reason at all, doesnt exist. Zoom, for instance, has actually always used the capability to immediately tape conferences, but Microsoft Teams does not.

Through the Microsoft Teams forum, Teams Engineering has validated to a user that Microsoft is working on instantly taping conferences. This function would pertain to the Mac variation of Microsoft Teams too.

” In the upcoming upgrade, it appears that the software application maker will allow users to have the Microsoft Teams automatically start a recording when the meeting starts. It looks like an excellent concept for educations institutes where its great to have the conferences tape-recorded instantly,” writes Windows Latest.

The funny part is that in Microsoft Teams forum, the request was made in September of 2018:

” If you know beforehand that a meeting needs to be recorded then it would be great to have an alternative when setting up the conference to begin taping automatically. This can aid with not forgetting to begin taping and save some time and effort not needing to keep in mind to do it by hand.”

Nearly three years later, Alex, a Teams Engineering staff member, composed back:

” Thank you for your feedback! The team is presently working on this demand. We will share an update as quickly as one is available.”

When this feature is available, macOS and Windows users will have the ability to automatically tape all meetings. For security factors, it will constantly appear at the top of the conference that is being taped.
Just recently, Microsoft started presenting a new “Out of Office” status for more users. For the next big upgrade, the company is preparing to make it possible for support for native notices and sound suppression on macOS.
