Nomad Announces ‘Rugged Keychain’ for AirTag, Includes Add-On Engraving Option for Pet ID Tags

8% OffWanderer today announced a brand-new accessory for Apples AirTag, called the Rugged Keychain, which begins shipping in August and costs $29.95 to pre-order ($39.95 regular). Similar to other keychain accessories, Nomads Rugged Keychain protects the AirTag in a polycarbonate shell that can be connected to keys, bags, and– in Nomads recommendations– pet collars.
The Rugged Keychain consists of 2 enclosure alternatives: an IP67 waterproof back and a speaker-hole back. Wanderer is also consisting of an optional add-on feature that lets you engrave your animals name and your contact number onto a stainless-steel insert, turning the AirTag and Rugged Keychain into a Pet ID tag.
While an AirTag can be utilized to track a pet, Apple VP of around the world iPhone product marketing, Kaiann Drance, has advised users that the AirTag was built to discover inanimate things and not pets or kids. When inquired about this, Drance stated, “If people do that, they just need to make sure that their moving pet enters into variety of a gadget in the Find My network” so its area can be tracked.
