Today, we are including Lyssy Energy Enterprises, a utility-scale renewable resource designer in Texas. The following is a Q&A with Lyssy Energy Co-Founder and COO Katie Garza and Constance Thompson, ACOREs Vice President of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Programs.
What inspired you to start Lyssy Energy?
Lyssy Energy Enterprises all started with a favor to my father. He asked me to put together an energy lease that would safeguard his land for ranching and farming while offering an extra source of earnings.
A couple years later, we began partnering with sustainable energy designers. We used 2020 to rebrand Lyssy Energy into the business we had always dreamed about. In 2021, we have reestablished ourselves to the world– no longer as an energy service business, but as renewable energy developers with the hope of owning and running utility-scale sustainable energy projects.

Lyssy Energy Enterprises is an ingenious, independently held, utility-scale designer of solar, wind and battery energy services. Our prime regulation is to add to the acceleration of the energy markets shift to sustainable energy. We concentrate our operations in Texas, where growing population and company development suggest a rapidly growing need for energy. What challenges do you face? Why?
