In 2021, we have actually reestablished ourselves to the world– no longer as an energy service company, but as eco-friendly energy developers with the hope of owning and operating utility-scale renewable energy tasks.
Lyssy Energy Enterprises is an innovative, privately held, utility-scale developer of solar, wind and battery energy solutions. Lyssy Energy thinks that by deploying wind, solar and battery storage, we can optimize our efforts and supply all kinds of eco-friendly energy solutions. Lyssy Energy is working with poor communities in rural areas, and we hope to make a difference by bringing sustainable energy tasks to areas with high rates of hardship and other vulnerable neighborhoods. It is essential for the energy shift to not only change how we produce energy, but to bring the disenfranchised to the center of this technological development so everyone shares the advantages.

In acknowledgment of National Hispanic Heritage Month, ACORE is highlighting three Hispanic-owned member business that are growing in the renewable resource sector.
Today, we are including Lyssy Energy Enterprises, a utility-scale renewable energy designer in Texas. The following is a Q&A with Lyssy Energy Co-Founder and COO Katie Garza and Constance Thompson, ACOREs Vice President of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Programs.
What inspired you to begin Lyssy Energy?
Lyssy Energy Enterprises all began with a favor to my dad. He asked me to put together an energy lease that would protect his land for ranching and farming while supplying an extra income. Prior to we understood it, my hubby and I were helping others in the exact same situation. So, we made it main, got and began a company to work.
A couple years later on, we started partnering with renewable resource designers. There were certainly drawbacks and challenges, closed doors and unequal collaborations, but we utilized this time to really refine our craft. We recognized that if we wanted our company to grow and prosper then we would need to take a risk. In 2020, when the world was forced to slow down due to the pandemic, we decided to take that threat. We used 2020 to rebrand Lyssy Energy into the business we had always dreamed about. In 2021, we have reintroduced ourselves to the world– no longer as an energy service company, but as eco-friendly energy developers with the hope of owning and running utility-scale renewable resource tasks.
Tell us about Lyssy Energy.
Lyssy Energy Enterprises is an innovative, independently held, utility-scale developer of solar, wind and battery energy services. Our prime regulation is to contribute to the acceleration of the energy industrys shift to sustainable energy. Lyssy Energy believes that by releasing wind, solar and battery storage, we can optimize our efforts and offer all kinds of sustainable energy options.
What obstacles do you deal with? Why?
Capital is one of the most significant challenges we deal with at the moment. The sun and the wind supply electricity, however capital is what moves everything and everybody else. We need capital for everyday operations, and to establish, construct and operate our projects.
Protecting advancement capital early is important in providing land control and interconnection research studies to get tasks off the ground. We are striving to establish relationships with large investment firms that have a strong interest in renewables and can provide the capital necessary to produce a successful eco-friendly energy task.
How can possible partners work with you?
Lyssy Energy Enterprises is open to partnerships or joint endeavors. We are readily available to go over the need for all types of capital stack with numerous equity, tax and debt business that run in this market and those interested in investing in sustainable energy jobs and business.
How are you making an effect through Lyssy Energy?
Lyssy Energy Enterprises aims to continue constructing a varied business. We want to assist stabilize the inequalities in our society by reaching out to individuals that are historically ignored and passed over. Females and individuals of color are essential to our success, and it is essential to promote their development to positions of management and management.
Hardship is another concern we want to address. Lyssy Energy is working with bad communities in backwoods, and we hope to make a difference by bringing renewable energy jobs to areas with high rates of poverty and other susceptible communities. These jobs provide inexpensive and dependable electricity, and likewise bring task opportunities and infrastructure advancement to poor communities. It is very important for the energy shift to not only modification how we produce energy, but to bring the disenfranchised to the center of this technological development so everyone shares the benefits.
