[Updated] Google Bypasses Roku’s YouTube TV Ban by Moving It to the Main YouTube App

Google says that negotiations with Roku are ongoing, but to be sincere, it looks like the company is preparing for the worst. According to its blog post, Google is “in conversations with other partners to secure totally free streaming gadgets in case YouTube TV members face any access issues on Roku,” a dramatic and costly relocation.

The bundling announcement by YouTube highlights the kind of predatory organization practices used by Google that Congress, Attorney Generals and regulative bodies around the world are investigating. In action, Google has continued its practice of blatantly leveraging its YouTube monopoly to require an independent company into an arrangement that is both bad for customers and bad for reasonable competition.
This is getting uglier by the minute.

Just a week after Roku eliminated YouTube TV from its app shop, Google is now using the fundamental YouTube app to host YouTube TELEVISIONs services. Google talked about the Trojan Horse maneuver in a post, and hinted that it might provide totally free streaming sticks to customers if settlements with Roku break down.
