Nomad Announces ‘Rugged Keychain’ for AirTag, Includes Add-On Engraving Option for Pet ID Tags

Nomad today announced a brand-new device for Apples AirTag, called the Rugged Keychain, which starts shipping in August and costs $29.95 to pre-order ($39.95 routine). Similar to other keychain accessories, Nomads Rugged Keychain secures the AirTag in a polycarbonate shell that can be connected to keys, bags, and– in Nomads guidance– pet collars.
The Rugged Keychain consists of 2 enclosure alternatives: an IP67 waterproof back and a speaker-hole back. Wanderer is also consisting of an optional add-on feature that lets you engrave your family pets name and your contact number onto a stainless-steel insert, turning the AirTag and Rugged Keychain into a Pet ID tag.
While an AirTag can be used to track a pet, Apple VP of worldwide iPhone item marketing, Kaiann Drance, has actually advised users that the AirTag was built to find inanimate things and not animals or kids. When inquired about this, Drance said, “If people do that, they just need to make sure that their moving pet gets into series of a gadget in the Find My network” so its place can be tracked.
Wanderer already offers a couple of AirTag accessories, including a Leather Loop and Leather Keychain at $19.95 and $29.95 respectively. You can also purchase a Glasses Strap for AirTag on Nomad for $29.95, which connects to any pair of sunglasses or glasses.
If youre interested in the brand-new Rugged Keychain, you can pre-order the accessory today in White or black on Nomads site for $29.95. Wanderer will start delivering the Rugged Keychain to consumers in August.
